Old Major 1900-1911
Oldmajor.jpgOld Major passed away on March 27, 1911. Old Major believed that all animals were equal. Right before his pass he told all of us animals, that we must come together and rebel against the humans that treat us so appalling. In memory of his death, we will sing the song that he taught us every Sunday, “The Beast of England”. Old Major will always be the most well respected animal that, we the animals on Animal Farm, will ever meet. His death, is just the start of us animals taking control. Old Major will be missed, but never forgotten.

Muriel 1910-1918
sheep.jpgOn Wednesday April 14, 1920 our dear friend Muriel the white goat passed away. She has spent her whole life, on the Animal Farm. Even when Napoleon and the Pigs try to take control over the Farm, she and her friends never let them come in their way. She always had her own opinion. She helped out her friends, mostly her one friend Clover the horse. Whenever Clover thought that the Pigs were not following the Commandments, she would read them over to her. Muriel will always be in our hearts.

Bluebell 1909-1920
It is sad to say that our loyal dog, Bluebell passed away today. She had a loving family; even though they were taken away at birth she was still loved. We would just like to say that she will be missed.

Jessie 1909-1919
Jessie the Dog, passed away on Thursday April 27, 1919. Even though her puppies were taken away from her, she still always loved them. Jessie was a strong and tough fighter, and never let anyone in her way. She will still be in our hearts.

Boxer 1904-1915
Out benevolent cart-horse Boxer, died on
February 17, 1915. Boxer had incredible strength, dedication, and loyalty. He was always there too help out others. He was a very shy horse, who never spoke his mind. He always trusted in what the pigs had to say. He always said “I will work harder” and “Napoleon is always right.” Without this horse our windmill would not have been built and for that we will always be truly respected.

Hens on Strike
By: Clover(the horse)

One morning squealer announced that all hens must sacrifice there eggs. It was said the profit would buy enough grain and meal to last until summer. And Napoleon declared that the hens must give up four hundred eggs a week! Even though they knew this could happen they never believed that Napoleon would do this to them. Spring was near and all hens were getting ready for there new hatchlings to be able to come. But now that Napoleon wants all eggs the hens would not be able to have there baby chicks. The hens said this was murder but Napoleon pressed on that this would help the farm. Therefore three young Black Minorca pullets rallied up the other hens to rebel, and so they did. The hens flew on the rafters and laid there eggs so when they fell they would smash. Napoleon acted quickly and said all of the hens rations were to be stopped and anyone who gave them food would be punished by death. Sadly with in five days the hens returned back to there nesting boxes, and through this whole process nine hens died.

CommandmentsCAOTAJ01.jpg

As we all know the original rules old major talked about are painted on the barn wall. Is it not obvious that the pigs are manipulating these rules? The original 7 commandments were the following:
  1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
  2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
  3. No animal shall were clothes
  4. No animal shall sleep in a bed
  5. No animal shall drink alcohol
  6. No animal shall kill any other animal
  7. All animals are equal
Can you not notice the difference? On the barn wall we now have these unworthy commandments:
  1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy, but the pigs have there human pet Whimper.
  2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend, wow, they haven’t changed that yet.
  3. No animal shall wear clothes, yet we’ve all seen the pigs march in Mr. Jones clothes.
  4. No animal shall sleep in a bed, with out sheets. Surly that wasn’t there before.
  5. No animal shall drink alcohol, to excess…that’s been added too.
  6. No animal shall kill any other animal, with out cause…hmm I don’t remember that either!
  7. All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others, and again the pigs added that too.
